Deputy Manager - Tooling cell (AD CDMM)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Description of the job and key result areas:

1. To Develop Right Quality Plastics Tooling and Plastic Parts.
2. To be competent to work with Design, Engineering, SSU, CDMM, Tier one and Toolmakers.
3. To do Mold Manufacturing Feasibility of all Plastic parts in scope.
4. To Work on Injection Molds should be costing to give target Prices to SSU/CDMM (most of them are trained here)
5. Should be able to Negotiate Mold Prices with Tier one/Toolmaker and support SSU on the same when required.
6. Should have knowledge on Plastic Parts, Engineering, Mold Design, and Mold manufacturing Processes, Mold Making and Plastics Processing.
7. To Make Mold specification sheets for all plastic parts.
8. Should be able to decide Tool steels in Mold making, Cycle times for all the parts in scope.
9. To do Tool Design review, Mold Flow review
10. Should be capable of doing Trouble shooting related to Tool, part design and Process.
11. To Attend Mold Trials Before Texturing and ensure Mold and Part Qualify the Final Product requirements.
12. To Assess if any Part Design changes are required for improving Part and Tool Quality.
13. To be able to do Texture mapping on Parts.
14. To fix Texture related issues in Tools and parts.
15. To Support CDMM, CMF, Engineering and Design teams for Part Approval.
16. To Support Tier one (part supplier) and Toolmaker on Technical
17. To Buy off Tools with Mold Inspection and to put them in Production.
18. To support Tier one in Mold and Process installation as required.
19. To support in deciding Part Inspection methods only if support asked.
20. To ensure Tool and Part Qualifies functionally and Dimensionally.
21. To ensure Preventive maintenance of Tools
22. To do Health check-up of Tools in Production

Knowledge/Skills Required:

- Knowledge of Injection Molds, Plastics, Mold design, manufacturing processes, Steels , Textures
- Knowledge on Commercials
- Good manager
- People management
- Use basic 3 D softwares like 3 D tool

Experience

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Diploma or Post Diploma specialized in Plastics Mould Design or Manufacturing
