Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

You will take ownership of designing Safety critical components wheel rim and wheel hub bearing. You will perform comprehensive design calculations to ensure component reliability and safety and optimal performance under various operating conditions.

Your role includes the application of advanced Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, proficient use of CATIA software for 3D modelling (Converting CAS to workable 3D model), Assembly and assembly module, and effective management of drawing releases through Teamcenter PLM systems. A thorough understanding of manufacturing processes such as Alloy wheel casting, forging and machining process is essential to design components that balance manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and durability.

Need complete understanding on DFMEA, PFMEA concepts on alloy rim and tyre homologation standard. Finalizing the System design specification from vehicle specification. Understanding on Wheel rim and Hub bearing, vehicle level and component level DVP.

Responsible for Vehicle Build (PLAN -> Mule, VP and PP completion -> Concern Closure)
- Coordinate with Validation team for completing the Vehicle and system level test as per DVP like (ADT, CDT, HSD.Fig of 8..etc).

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product development to iterate designs based on feedback and testing outcomes. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies within design will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge of present and future regulatory requirements for Indian and Export markets. Co-ordinate with Homologation team for getting CMVR certification. Organizing Project review, Studio review meeting with CFT team and resolution of project issues
