Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Responsibilities:
1. Support design and integration of Voice AI systems for Mahindra’s next-gen platforms (BEV, ICE).
2. Own end-to-end delivery of voice/AI features for Mahindra infotainment systems.
3.Translate Mahindra-specific use cases into solution architecture and technical specifications.
4.Drive & review the integration of voice assistant SDKs/APIs with embedded platforms (Android Automotive OS or Linux-based systems).
5.Drive functional and performance validation (latency, accuracy, robustness).
6.Ensure compliance with certification standards and privacy regulations.
7.Manage production readiness, OTA updates, and feature rollouts for Mahindra programs.
8.Provide on-field support for customer concerns and lead root cause analysis.
9.Plan and execute lifecycle management, including feature sunset and migration strategies.
10.Collaborate with Mahindra cross-functional teams (UX, audio/acoustics, connectivity, data privacy).
Key Deliverables:
1. Define end-to-end architecture for voice/AI integration (Alexa, Google Assistant/Gemini) and document feature specifications aligned with Mahindra use cases.
2. Implement SDK/API integration with infotainment systems, tune audio front-end (AEC, beamforming), and deliver automated functional/performance test suites.
3. Achieve first-time certification readiness for chosen ecosystem and ensure adherence to privacy, security, and regional compliance standards.
4. Prepare OTA rollout plans, telemetry dashboards, and manage on-field issue triage with RCA and hotfix strategies to meet SLA targets.
5. Develop migration/decommissioning plans for deprecated features, ensuring user experience continuity and data protection.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years in automotive connectivity, AI voice assistance and telematics domain.
- Strong background in voice assistant technologies (Alexa, Google Assistant, or similar).
- Experience with embedded systems, infotainment platforms, and automotive protocols.
- Knowledge of audio processing (AEC, beamforming, noise suppression) and wake word detection.
- Familiarity with Android Automotive OS, AVS SDK, or equivalent frameworks.
- Understanding of privacy, data governance, and regional compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
(Candidates with strong fundamentals and aspiration to specialize in Automotive AI voice assistance will be considered even if direct experience is limited.)
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Additional training or certifications in automotive connectivity, wireless communication, or AWS is a plus
