Engineer - H1 Refresh Platform

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

• Work closely with all departments to identify and manage risks through Technical Design Review meetings. 
• Evaluate Product proposal and Customer requirement covert into functional design inputs.
• Manage complexity in Variants and have a clear product variant management.
• Support role in - target Setting, Defining boundaries for the aggregates as per Product Attribute and functional Input Targets.
• Understand the Implements suitability requirement and set the Design Targets required for the product.
• Support for Design releases & responsible for product design as per TCP target.
• Participation in QFD to conclude Product concept & Design Concept
• Benchmarking of key competitor tractors parameters & interpret to set competitive targets & boundaries.
• Evaluate Ergonomics on operator workspace, access, entry & exit to finalize the ergo layout and fixing up Hard points of all integrated systems.
• Participation in Mock-up evaluation with Jury, capturing feedback and ensuring implementation in design.
• Analyse physical & Functional interface issues, develop engineering solutions, and utilize a trade-study approach to recommend the solution that best meets the Customer’s needs within TCP boundaries.
• Integrate engineering, performance, Serviceability and manufacturing criteria to provide a reasonable bandwidth for creative design.
• Support role in virtual integration of the tractor.
• Support  the design of the Architecture with subsystem mock-ups to ensure the physical environment of the tractor is understood and comprehended in Program decisions.
• Facilitating all engineering activities till product implementation.

Experience (years):

5-10 years

Qualification:

BE / ME (Mechanical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Automobile Engineering)

Critical Competencies Required:

•    Hands on experience in finalizing tractor hard point like SIP, Wheelbase, Track, FOH, ROH, CG, Stability,3PL point & VHF, Static & Dynamic weight distribution.
•    Hands on experience in ergonomics & control finalization and evaluate at different stage of project execution.
•    Hands on experience on Vis-Mock up, TC, UG or similar software’s.
•    Experience in concept generation & Evaluation techniques
•    Tractor / Tractor systems knowledge, Application knowledge, & Homologation knowledge preferable
•    Experience in DFA & DFA requirements of tractor & knowledge of tools.
•    Knowledge on field application, RWUP and farmer driving habits/usage pattern.
•    Knowledge in New Product Development and design release process.
•    Proficient in Interface Management, layout packaging & analytical skills 
•    Fostering Innovation
•    Team centre PLM knowledge preferable
•    GD&T, Stack up & tolerancing.
•    FMEA knowledge
•    Layout working knowledge.
•    FEA Basics
•    Rapid prototyping basics

Experience & Exposure:

•    Experience in a Tractor/vehicle packaging and knowledge about Field applications.
•    Understanding of ergonomics requirements w.r.t manikin sizes & operator environment.
•    Familiarity with national and international tractor regulations
•    Overall knowledge on Tractor/Vehicle integrated systems, controls and implements.
•    Worked on full Tractor/vehicle design from concept to production.
•    Able to lead and manage teams from front.
•    Communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
•    Cross functional design experience. Substantial assembly knowledge.
•    Extensive knowledge about the agricultural & tractor's mechanics.
•    Basic Knowledge of transmission, engine, Hydraulics, Body engineering, electricals & tractor level system.
•    Working in large scale CFT.
