Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Tasks and Deliverables
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and validation teams to define and execute component testing for EPT hardware focusing on battery systems.
- Review and finalize DVPs, DFMEAs, test standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with global automotive and EV regulations.
- Establish and manage detailed test schedules and budgets to meet program milestones and cost objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive MIS reports and present findings in cross-functional review meetings.
- Proactively escalate technical risks, resource constraints, or deviations to leadership.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate physical tests, ensuring optimal utilization of DVP samples and infrastructure resources.
- Define CAPEX requirements and oversee installation of new test rigs and laboratory facilities.
2️. Critical Must-Have Deliverables
- Approved and fully executed validation test plans covering performance, electrical, mechanical, and safety parameters.
- Signed-off DVP and DFMEA documentation demonstrating risk coverage for battery modules and packs.
- Timely submission of MIS dashboards reflecting test progress, budget status, and issue logs.
- Delivery of root-cause analysis reports (8D) for all critical failures, with corrective action plans.
- Commissioned battery cycler equipment (e.g., AVL, Arbin, Bitrode) integrated into test workflows.
3️. Good-to-Have Deliverables
- Implementation of automated data-capture and analysis scripts to accelerate result validation.
- Standardized test setups that reduce sample turnaround time by at least 15%.
- Contributions to global best-practice repositories for EV battery testing and validation.
- Training materials or workshops delivered to upskill technicians and junior engineers.
Experience
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in EV battery testing, validation engineering, or a closely related role.
Industry Preferred
- Automotive industry with emphasis on electric vehicles, powertrain, or battery manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
- Certification or coursework in automotive standards (e.g., ISO 12405, UN 38.3, SAE J2664, IEC 62660) is highly desirable.
