Head - Product Development IT

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Responsible for managing IT applications used for Product Development across Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors & Associated business units.
  • Leads the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem for each business unit
  • Responsible for Product Development IT in the technology areas of CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM, Knowledge Based Engineering, Engineering analytics, BPM Applications, Cloud Applications & Integrations
  • Interfacing with Product Development Leaders to understand requirements and own the execution of solutions till successful adoption & realization of benefits
  • Aligning PLM roadmap to meet business goals, manage budgets, make PLM investment decisions, ensure compliance and cyber security
  • Providing Leadership in mentoring PLM professionals, improving PLM process and developing PLM Team capabilities
  • Define Scope & execution models as appropriate to optimize costs (In-house or Outsourced)
  • Identify areas for evaluation of new technologies and plan for proof of concepts
  • Manage PLM vendors and system integrators; oversee contracts and delivery performance.

Experience

  • 15 years of experience in Implementing Digital/IT Solutions for Vehicle Product Development
  • Expertise in major PLM platforms (Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE)
  • Strong understanding of Automotive/Farm Equipment engineering processes and digital lifecycle.
  • Experience managing large PLM rollout or transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAE, BOM structures, integrations, APIs, and data models.
  • Strong engineering process understanding
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment
