Lead Engineer - CAE

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Create mathematical models of the vehicle systems and simulate Crash test using Madymo and Dyna.
To work on all the load cases related to Occupant Safety as per both NCAP and Regulation requirements
To suggest cost effective Occupant Safety design solutions for meeting the NCAP & regulation requirements.
To do Stochastic simulation for Occupant Safety system to capture design, mfg. and usage variations.
Interface with Safety, Testing, Design and CAE Groups to incorporate design in vehicle and achieve > 80% test correlation.
To explore new methods for improving correlations.
To do PDCA independently and suggest corrective action.
To publish papers in reputed journals and file patents for innovative work.
To guide a group of CAE analysts for Occupant Safety simulation and review CAE reports.
Knowledge of Technical Documentation
Knowledge of Communication , negotiation , interpersonal relationships, Motivation
Knowledge of Crash testing methods and Crash measuring instruments
Knowledge of new emerging trend in occupant simulation and vehicle designs
Experience
8 to 12 Years in CAE Occupant Safety simulations
Knowledge of CAE Software like Hypermesh, Primer, LS-Dyna, Madymo & Hyperstudy.
Knowledge of Finite Element Method.
Knowledge of restraint design, modelling, Occupant analysis trend & occupant behavior.
Knowledge of Crash Regulations and NCAP.
Knowledge of occupant related failure Mechanism
