Lead Engineer - CAE

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As an Engineer - CAE in the Product Development division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a crucial role in building Subsystem and Full Vehicle models for Ride and Handling Simulations, Mechanisms Analysis, and Durability load generation. You will be responsible for having a basic understanding of Vehicle systems, specifically Chassis, Steering, Suspension, and Tires. Your tasks will include conducting simulations for Suspension Kinematic and Compliance, Ride and Handling, Durability load generation, and Mechanism simulations. Additionally, you will need good post-processing skills to validate simulation results, recommend design changes to meet performance targets, and correlate simulation results with Lab and Vehicle Test. A solid grasp of Engineering fundamentals such as Theory of Machine, Strength of materials, and Applied mechanics is essential for this role. Experience in using programming languages for engineering data analysis with specific codes like MATLAB, C++, Visual Basic, or similar languages is a key requirement.
Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess 3-5 years of experience in the CAE Domain. Your software experience should include proficiency in tools like ADAMS, ADAMS/CAR, Carsim, Matlab, Simulink, Hypermesh, MotionView, and Solv.
Industry Preferred
Experience in the Automotive industry is highly preferred for this position.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (minimum First class) and preferably an MTech/M.E. in Machine Design from IIT or a reputed REC.
General Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics and suspension design for Electric Vehicles and IC-based vehicles |
- Strong fundamentals in Multibody simulations, Applied mechanics, and Finite element methods |
- Ability to do Multibody modelling of Suspension, Steering, and Full vehicle for Electric and IC-based vehicles |
- Knowledge of different Dynamics load cases for Suspension and Full vehicle evaluation for Electric and IC-based vehicles |
- Proficiency in Conducting Load Generation for Durability at Subsystem and full vehicle level |
