Lead Engineer - CAE

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Lead Engineer - CAE in the Product Development division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the analysis and design of vehicle components and systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing finite element modelling of vehicle components and systems
- Assigning thickness and material properties to components
- Building finite element assemblies for vehicle structure
- Applying loads and boundary conditions for linear and nonlinear static analysis
- Conducting modal, frequency response, and transient analysis
- Estimating fatigue life for vehicle structures and welds
- Post-processing results, generating reports, and presenting findings to the design team
- Providing design recommendations based on analysis results and constraints
Experience
To excel in this role, you should have expertise in automotive systems, strength of materials, and finite element methods. Additionally, you should possess:
- Experience with meshing software like Hypermesh and SIMLAB
- Knowledge of solvers such as Nastran, Abaqus, and Ansys
- Proficiency in post-processing tools like Hyperview and FEMFAT
- An understanding of test methodologies for vehicle systems and instrumentation
- The ability to correlate CAE results with physical test outcomes
Industry Preferred
The preferred industry for this role is automotive, where your expertise and experience in vehicle analysis will be highly valuable.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you should hold a degree in ME or Mtech with a specialization in Machine Design.
