Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Lead Engineer - CAE at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., you will be responsible for leading pivotal projects within the automotive sector, focusing on vehicle dynamics and advanced technologies. Your role will encompass:
- Collaborating effectively with various stakeholders, including the DAC, Validation, Durability, and Vehicle Development teams to ensure successful project progression.
- Providing regular updates to management regarding project status while adhering to vehicle dynamics design procedures.
- Developing and enhancing capabilities in Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Preparing comprehensive analysis reports and facilitating timely discussions with key stakeholders.
- Mentoring new joiners and interns, leveraging your experience to nurture emerging talent.
- Meeting project timelines and preparing 8D reports to address reported issues.
- Ensuring high-quality analysis and timely delivery of results in line with project goals.
- Supporting the preparation and updating of Knowledge Management (KM) documents, process documents, design guidelines, and modeling guidelines.
- Utilising your expertise in vehicle dynamics and suspension design to troubleshoot and innovate within all aspects of automotive engineering.
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have between 7 to 12 years of experience in Automotive Vehicle Dynamics, specifically using ADAMS Software, which is pivotal for simulation and modelling.
Your technical proficiency should extend across a variety of software tools, including:
- ADAMS and ADAMS/CAR
- Carsim
- Matlab and Simulink
- Hypermesh
- MotionView
- Solve
This diverse software knowledge will enable you to lead cross-functional teams effectively and drive innovative solutions in vehicle dynamics.
Industry Preferred
The ideal candidate comes from the automotive industry, where they have hands-on experience and a thorough understanding of the dynamics involved in modern vehicle design and testing. Your experience in this sector will be essential for transitioning complex theories into practical applications. You should be familiar with industry standards and practices related to automotive engineering and be prepared to tackle the unique challenges presented by today's evolving automotive landscape.
Qualifications
Your educational qualifications should include:
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of first-class honours.
- M.Tech or M.E. in Machine Design is preferred, ideally from IIT or other respected institutions.
