Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Lead EMI and EMC testing on vehicles and components, including testing planning, execution, and reporting, for the following tests:
- Radiated Emissions (RE) Testing
- Conducted Emissions (CE) Testing
- Radiated Susceptibility/ Immunity (RS) Testing
- Conducted Susceptibility/ Immunity (CS) Testing
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing
- Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) Testing
- Harmonics & Flicker Testing
- Deep knowledge of Automotive Components/ECUs and Systems functionality.
- Knowledge of international EMC and Electrical testing standards (ISO 16750-1, 16750-2, 11451-x series, 11452 - x series, ISO 7637, ISO 10605, CISPR 12, CISPR 25, ECE R 10.6, AIS 004 Part 3 Rev1, IEC 61000 series for automotive tests etc.) and other global OEM standards.
- Knowledge of International Environmental and Mechanical test standards ( IEC 60068, ISO 20653, 16750 – 3, 4, & 5) for automotive components.
- Knowledge of product development process and vehicle E & E architecture is mandatory.
- To prepare Electrical and EMC Design Validation/Testing Plan for components
- Experience in EMC test setups, load box preparation and operation of test equipment.
- Experience of conducting Component & Vehicle EMC testing as per Automotive Standards.
- Experience of RF & Electrical noise Suppression technique in component & vehicle level to analyse and resolve EMC related concerns.
- Reviewing/maintaining EMC and Electrical test reports, knowledge of DFMEA process, maintaining/upgrading internal test standards.
- Lab documentation as per ISO 17025
Experience
10 to 15 Years
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
BE/BTech/ME/MTech-Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics, Power Electronics or any equivalent
General Requirements
1. Must have depth knowledge on automotive EMC & Environmental standards.
2. Must have good domain knowledge on basic BEV architecture, EV Powertrain (EPT) systems and components such as VCU, BMS and MCU
3. Must have hands on experience on ETAS INCA, VECTOR CANoe, CANalyzer, ECU Test tool and AVL Concerto, and software flashing tools.
4. Must have knowledge of Testing concepts, Test processes, Test methodology, Test strategy, Test Tools and techniques.
5. Indepth Knowledge of:
: Anechoic ALSE (Absorber Lined Shielded enclosure) chambers
: Spectrum analysers
: EMI receivers
: RF amplifiers
: Power meters
: ESD guns
