Lead Engineer-Engines AD Diesel

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

'- Responsible for integration of the eDrive System (electric motor, traction inverter, gearbox) into the vehicle to complete system level test and validation.
- Responsible for leading the development, integration and testing for demonstration vehicles.
- Lead cross-functional integration – ensuring functionality and compatibility across all vehicle systems.
- Ability to coordinate multiple demonstration vehicle builds/verification testing simultaneously.
- Creates and maintains design documentation including system architecture and/or flow charts as needed.
- Documents electric &/or hybrid powertrain system requirements and decomposes into component and integration requirements as needed for each project.
- Manages technical aspects of multiple system integration and validation projects and provides status to the integrated project team(s)
- Interacts with purchasing, testing, manufacturing, and external suppliers as needed for the successful completion of projects
- Creates and executes (or facilitates the execution of) electric & hybrid powertrain system &/or component functionality/reliability testing/validation plans before vehicle insertion where/when appropriate; 
- Own the test process of Hardware In the Loop (HIL) level, including commissioning, test plan and automation.
- Facilitates calibration of monitoring funcitons,  concern root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Should participate in Summer/Winter/High altitude expedition tests for vehicle function calibration and verification
- Analysis of Test results and Report preparation for all the calibrations.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech

General Requirements

'- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in developing and maintaining MIL, HIL, system verification test cases and test infrastructure.
- Experience in plant modeling (Electrical Motors, High Voltage Battery Systems, Vehicle Dynamics and Thermal System).
- Experience with automotive communication links (SAE J1939; etc), powertrain/transmission controls. 
- Proficient with data acquisition & development tools (e.g. INCA/MATLAB/Uniplot/VISU/ Python / RM tools/ CANalyzer/CANApe etc.)
- In depth knowledge on BEV, HEV and BHEV architecture and components.
- Understanding of various vehicle level features and up to date trends in automobile industry.
