Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1) Shall be responsibe to Finalize Material & Manufacturing Method  for all the Vehicle Systems components say BIW, Chassis, Suspension, Fasteners to meet the Performance, reliability, manufacturability, repair, Cost & Weight Targets  .
2) Shall be responsible to deliver the Technical Skills in the Failure Analysis in the area of Sheet metal forming , welding , corrosion etc.,  so as to Fix the Root Cause & to Identify the suitable Corrective Actions .  
3) Be responsible for assisting Vehicle System Development programs by involving in supplier evaluation & audit in the area of Chassiss, Suspension Springs, Knuckle, Wheel ends , Alloy and Steel Wheel Rims , Control Arms  etc., 
4) Involve proactively in the early phase of design to guide Design Engineers with suitable material & process recommendations including trade-off studies 
5) Be responsible for creating & updating material properties including variations, endurance strength etc to be used in engineering analysis of design 
6) Proactively update materials specification & guidelines to be inline with current Global Standards 
7) Develop close relationship with Material testing agencies across India/Globe for conducting specific tests to support the projects / programs 
8) Drive and integrate the new technologies in the areas of materials, process & coatings . 
9) Shall be able to identify continuously the Potential Value Engineering Proposals & Cost Reduction Activities in the areas of Forging, Casting, Powder Metallurgy, Aluminum & Heat Treated Parts.
- Shall be able to lead a Team of People to deliver the Organisational Goal by demonstrating a very good Team Work. 

Experience

3-5 Years

Should have Hands on Experience in the processes like Sheet Metal, Stamping, Forming , Drawing, Welding, Corrosion, Fasteners, Heat Treatment, Coatings & Metallurgical Testings. Additional Skill sets in Castings and Forgings will be an added advantage.   

Industry Preferred

Automobile OEM or Auto Ancillaries 

Qualifications

M.E/M.Tech (or) B.E/B.Tech - Metallurgy
