Lead Engineer - NVH

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Your main responsibility will be to perform both static and dynamic simulations and analysis of BSR & operational sound quality on different systems including BIW, Door systems.  

2. Responsible for building the system & vehicle level FE Modelling in Hypermesh required for BSR& Operational sound quality simulation. Typical systems involved are mentioned below;
a) Body in prime b) Closure Assembly c) Full Trimmed vehicle d) Components
 
3. Analysis proficiency : Modal, IPI, Door closing Noise simulations using ADAMS & ACTRAN, Contact analysis on Hyper elastic materials. Previous work experience on Multi body domain is a Plus

4. You have to be involved in all project phases, from Advanced Engineering to vehicle production start, and with field and quality issues, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve our attributes in our SUV's.

5. You will propose improvements and drive necessary change together with involved design areas.

6. Should be able to handle large complex FE models required for preparing & pre-processing it for simulation.

7. Demonstrate proficiency in analysing frequency and transient analysis results and systems response at desired locations. Ability to analyse modal analysis results and systems modal behaviour both on Global & local level

8.You must have worked on felxible connections modelling know the tricks & techniques.

9. Responsible for the knowledge management and ensure the capitalization of knowledge, lessons learned collection and implementation in future projects, trainings etc.

Experience

4 - 5 years of experience

We expect you are hands on simulation softwares like Hyperworks, Nastran, Optistruct, ADAMS, ACTRAN, etc…And you have worked in the past in NVH & MBD domain and having knowledge of acoustics in CAE related to the sound/vibration 
Matlab and Phyton experience is meritorious. 
Script development for automation of the simulation DVP's is meritorious.

Industry Preferred

Relevant industry experience is crucial to the role:

  • Experience in the automotive sector is preferred, as this field demands a keen understanding of the noise characteristics specific to vehicles and their components.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in a related mechanical discipline.
  • Your academic background should be complemented by practical experience and a deep-seated passion for automotive engineering and development.
