Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

a) EV VCU Calibration involving activities like Driveablity  ,Driver demand detection , Driving mode Selection , Regeneration , One pedal driving, Creep,Cruise Control & Vehicle speed limiter functions.
b) EV VCU Calibration involving activities like Energy Management ,Range Optimization, Thermal Management ,SOC Based component protection strategy  
c) EV VCU Calibration involving activities like HV - AC & DC Charging  & LV Charging , HMI Interface , PUPD sequence 
d) Liase with VCU supplier and other key system suppliers for system selection and optimization.
e) Liase with CFT like Vehicle Integration, NVH, Electricals, Performance simulation, EV development centre, Reliability and Service for engineering targets delivery.
f) Plan for the day-today calibration activities and maintain a project tracker.
g) Collect & collate benchmark data.
h) Analyse the issues arising out of test to confirm the design by root cause analysis of the problems / issues by using various problem solving techniques like Global 8D or other problem solving tools.

General Requirements

1. Basic understanding of Electric Powertrain ,Power Electronics ,Cell Chemistry  
2. System Integration Knowledge on BMS, MCU & OCDC Functionalities 
3.Knowledge on EV Communication Protocol (CAN , LIN ,Ethernet ), HPC, Network Management 
3. Knowledge of calibration softwares -INCA and other data acquisition tools.
4. Basic coding skills in Matlab and /or Phython
5. Knowledge of vehicle sub systems which affect vehicle performance parameters
6. Knowledge of VCU Functionalities & Torque structure 
7. Knowledge of EV system component selection and evaluation methods
8.Knowledge of vehicle calibration, comfort functions, drivability, Diagnostics etc
9. Failure analysis, root cause analysis
11. Awareness of Legislation, test procedures, various norms and regulation
12 Should have worked in atleast one Electric Powertrain development program from start of calibration to SOP
