Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Key duties involve:
Develop HMI system requirements aligning with system architecture and software development on platforms Android AOSP, QNX or Linux.
Create the user experience that delights customer.
Collaborate with design, System, Software and Validation teams.
Ensure HMI is safe, seamless, and compliant with automotive standards.
Key responsibilities
Requirements management: Analyze customer needs, define system requirements, and manage them in a requirements database.
System design: Create and maintain the overall system architecture for the HMI, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with other vehicle electronics.
User experience (UX) development: Work with designers and product managers to create an intuitive and safe user interface, including touch and voice-enabled features.
Software implementation: Liase with Sw developers on various embedded platforms like QNX, Linux, and Android.
Safety and compliance: Ensure the HMI design adheres to safety standards like ISO 26262 and minimizes driver distraction.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and designers, to ensure project success.
Testing and validation: Support the verification and validation of the HMI system to ensure it meets performance and quality targets. Report the defects and track till closure.
Benchmark: Conduct benchmark on vehicles and research customer trends to define new HMI features.
Experience
Responsible for HMI design, development,implementation and validation for Infotainment, Cluster, Passenger display, AR HUD and Mobile app on passenger and commercial vehicles.
Should have alteast 12 to 15 years of experience.
Should have undertaken atleast three M6 projects from concept till delivery.
Should have experience in leading a team of 6 or more engineers
Should be a leader in defining automotive user experience.

Qualifications
General Requirements
Technical: Expertise in automotive software engineering, embedded systems, and automotive platforms Android AOSP, QNX and Linux.
Proficiency with programming languages like JAVA, C++, python,JAVAscript computer vision, and RTOS is beneficial.
System-level: Strong understanding of system architecture,interfaces like CAN and Ethernet, requirements engineering, and functional safety (ISO 26262).
Soft skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Analytical: Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive product development lifecycles and standards like ASPICE is a plus.
Project Management: Strong skills to manage team, tasks, projects, timelines on MS projects, JIRA and TEAMS.
