Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Proto Purchase and Supplier Management:
- Lead the proto purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of prototype parts.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct negotiations, and finalize agreements to maintain the best quality and price standards.
- Evaluate suppliers based on various factors including cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
2. Costing and RFQs:
- Analyse and compare quotations to select the most appropriate suppliers.
- Calculate and manage cost effectively to ensure budget compliance.
- Design the specific costing formats for ease of operations and to bring out realistic cost structures.
3. Commodity Management:
- Oversee procurement of commodities, including casting, machining, rapid prototyping (RPT), sheet metal, E&E and Proprietary parts.
4. Teamwork and Coordination:
- Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Foster collaboration across departments to streamline procurement processes.
- Coordinate with other units and stakeholders to ensure alignment and synergy.
5. Management Information Systems (MIS) and deliverables:
- Develop and maintain MIS for tracking procurement activities and financial outcomes.
- Generate regular reports for senior management to review performance.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with project timelines for delivery.
- Implement agile methodologies to address and overcome hindrances proactively.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Conduct audits and assessments to maintain compliance standards.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct regular meetings to discuss procurement strategies and resolve issues.
8. Decision Making and Risk Assessment:
- Make informed decisions regarding supplier selections, cost management, and procurement strategies.
