Manager- Parts Engineering

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

* Parts Engineers are responsible to coordinate with CoE team to identify the Serviceable/ Non-Serviceable Parts, define IDK/IWK Parts, Develop & timely release of Parts Catalogue on 1st Vehicle Dispatch to dealers which is mandatory for dealers to Order Spare Parts for vehicle Repair.
* Responsible for Parts Authoring & Catloging Process to timely delivery of electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) for new launches, regular parts change updation in existing EPCs on real time basis, real time updations of Vins in EPC.
* Responsible in addressing part related technical queries received from OSHD Helpdesk (One stop help desk) & SBU Part infoline.
* Coordinate with PE-Pricing team for spare part pricing activities & support.

Accountabilities: 

• Competitive benchmarking & identifying serviceable child parts along with system engineers/suppliers. Based on this, Preparation Of Generic Part List & Circulating to Program Team as Per MPDS Process
• Identification of serviceable & Non Serviceable Parts (In-house & Proprietary Items) along with R&D Team & Supplier & Preparing initial Peculiar Serviceable Part List from E-BOM/ Add-Del List.
• Identification of Child Level Parts & Agreeing with PPL/PPH/ R&D, Suppliers for Field Supply. 
• Based on E-BOM Maturity Sharing the Peculiar Parts Delta Changes to Pricing Cell till SOP.
• CFT member for New Launch. (PR/ FR & EN Approval till SOP + 3 Months) 
• S-BOM Creation and Readiness by co-ordination with VE Team
• Parts Authoring (Data Development) Done
• Art Work Development using Coral Draw, Adobe Illustrator, CATIA & CATIA Composer & Team Centre Professional Viewer
• Create illustrations and hot spotting in EPC
• EPC Management, Part Mapping & Quality Check till SOP done at Inhouse
• Delivering EPC Catalogue before SOP. (For Domestic & Export Market)
• Sharing Part Info for Audatex Team for Body Repair Estimation.
• Running Changes Updation in EPC After Post Launch. Maintaining EN/ PAB Tracker & ensure the on-Time Spare Part Pricing.
• Being a VIN-linked EPC, the manufactured VINs need to be updated on a continuous basis. 
• Handling Escalated Part Infoline queries. (Technical Parts information support on Parts Serviceability)
• Obsolete Part Input (Based on PAB Document & Model Discontinuation) to Concern Team to facilitate the supply of parts for 10 years to Support After Sales Market.

Education Qualification

BE in Mechanical / Automobile Engg (preferred)

General Experience

Technical Knowledge on Spare Parts Functions & Identification of Complete vehicle Parts.
Good Communication Skills for better negotiation with Suppliers.
Publication Software Knowledge for Artwork Development.
