Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own EOL test strategy, specifications, and system architecture.
  • Develop and validate automated functional, electrical, diagnostic, and communication tests.
  • Translate product specifications into comprehensive test coverage matrices and validation plans.
  • Integrate PLCs, DAQ modules, fixtures, relays, load cards, and HIL systems into EOL setups.
  • Collaborate with machine builders on fixture design, ergonomics, safety, and automation-readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and internal manufacturing standards.
  • Drive MES and traceability integration, ensuring VIN-wise data logging and analytics.
  • Lead commissioning, FAT/SAT validation, industrialization, and ramp-up readiness activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic issues to support production uptime.
  • Mentor EOL engineers/technicians and coordinate with VES, ME, Quality, and Supplier partners.

Experience

8  years in automotive EOL testing (including ≥5 years ICT/FCT/EOL machine development and ≥3 years on EV HV systems).

Education & Experience

BE/BTech/ME in Electrical/Electronics/Automotive/Mechatronics. 8  years in automotive EOL testing (including ≥5 years ICT/FCT/EOL machine development and ≥3 years on EV HV systems).

KPIs & Targets

  • First Pass Yield (FPY) for mature stations.
  • Test Cycle Time & Throughput adherence.
  • Coverage Metrics: ICT , Flying‑probe , MDA,  FCT  - Coverage to 100%
  • Defect Escape Rate near zero.
  • Station OEE & Downtime linked to EOL.
  • EOL Stability Index (R&R ≤10%, CpK ≥1.33).
  • MES Traceability Compliance 100% VIN/serial genealogy.
  • Timely readiness of test stations for new programs.

General Requirements

Required Skills & Tooling

  • Automotive E/E systems: ECUs, sensors/actuators, diagnostics, HV safety practices.
  • Communications: CAN/CAN‑FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, DoIP; UDS/ISO 14229.
  • Software & Test Platforms: NI LabVIEW/TestStand, Python, PLC programming, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.
  • ICT/FCT equipment: Bed‑of‑nails and flying‑probe ICT, FCT rigs, coverage metrics.
  • Manufacturing data systems: MES/SCADA/SQL, OPC‑UA/MQTT integration, traceability schemas.
  • Quality methods: PFMEA, Control Plan, GR&R/MSA, Cp/CpK, FAT/SAT readiness.
  • Fixtures & safety: Pogo‑pin/contact wear, ESD controls, HiPot/IR setups, guarding/interlocks.

    • EOL Specification Pack (test scope, limits, methods, safety, data retention).
    • Coverage Matrix & Validation Plan (ICT/FCT/Boundary‑scan/HIL).
    • Station BOM & Fixture DFM/DfT.
    • FAT/SAT Protocols & Reports; GR&R/MSA reports.
    • MES Integration Artefacts (data models, dashboards/SPC).
    • Ops Playbook (SOPs, troubleshooting trees, preventive maintenance).

    Compliance & Standards

    IATF 16949, ISO 26262, ASPICE; station safety per ISO 13849/IEC 62061; PLC per IEC 61131‑3; HV safety per ISO 6469; ESD/IPC standards as relevant.
