Job Purpose
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Product Development:
- Lead ADAS projects from concept to deployment across 2–3 parallel programs, ensuring on‑time delivery and meeting all technical and quality requirements.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to define system specs, architecture, and interfaces.
- Ensure designs are strong and compliant with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
2. Project Deliverables & Adherence to Processes:
- Lead and track project milestones end‑to‑end, ensuring on‑time, within‑budget delivery while following defined processes and standards.
- Report project status, risks, and mitigation plans, conduct reviews, execute test cases, and analyze vehicle test logs to support system validation and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to set up End‑of‑Line (EOL) calibration and verification stations
3. Quality Maintenance & Process Adherence:
- Ensure high-quality design, development, and testing processes throughout the project.
- Conduct DFMEA to identify potential issues early and implement risk‑mitigation actions.
- Define and execute the DVP to verify that the system meets all requirements.
4. Technical Expertise & Development Tools:
- Develop ADAS algorithms and system software using C, C++, and Python.
- Work with vehicle network architectures like CAN and Ethernet and integrate them into the ADAS system.
- Use CAN and Ethernet tools for diagnostics, testing, and communication analysis
5. Prototyping & Innovation:
- Design, develop, and test prototypes to validate new ADAS features and concepts.
- Drive innovation by introducing new technologies, tools, and methods while staying updated on industry trends.
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced, agile environment that requires flexibility and adaptability.
6. Mentorship & Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing engineering team both technically and professionally.
- Promote a collaborative, knowledge‑sharing environment to support continuous learning and team growth.
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and resolving complex engineering issues
7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure product requirements, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, including test results, engineering changes, and system specifications.
8. Roadmap & Future Readiness:
- Develop departmental roadmaps by assessing technology status, creating proof‑of‑concepts, and aligning Time, Cost, and Performance targets with stakeholders.
- Build reusable assets and resources to support upcoming projects with minimal additional effort.
- Recruit and develop engineering talent, building a team capable of initiating and executing new projects from the ground up.
Experience
13+ years for (M.E/M.Tech)/ 15+ years for (B.E/B.Tech) in automotive systems engineering with a focus on ADAS or related fields, including hands-on experience with system-level engineering, product development, and integration.

Technical Expertise and Developmental Tools:
- Proficiency in development languages such as C, C++, and Python.
- Strong understanding of vehicle network architecture, including CAN and Ethernet protocols.
- Hands-on experience using CAN and Ethernet tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, Wireshark).
- Expertise in DFMEA, DVP, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping techniques. Familiarity with development tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools for simulation and rapid prototyping.
- Strong knowledge of ADAS systems, including sensors (cameras, radar, LiDAR), ECU, and algorithms.
- Deep knowledge of ADAS technologies, sensor fusion, machine learning, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
