Job Purpose

To lead the EDS CoE team in developing and validating EE architectures that meet performance, cost, packaging, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures effective system integration with CFTs, drives design quality, implements new technologies, supports team capability building, delivers cost‑effective solutions, and resolves field issues using strong problem‑solving and quality tools.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

To Head the team of EDS COE
Design the EE archictecture, Evlauate the architecture using suitable tools and develop the most suitable arcitecture which balances performance, packaging and cos with all electrical & electronic features in the particular platform vehicle meeting all regulatory standards/requirements with in project time line.
Initiate, Interact with CFT & the design engineers for system integration to realise the required E&E feature with Quality , Cost and Time.
Evaluate existing and new designs for compliance to internal and external standards and review designs for various governmental regulation compliance and do aregualr design quality audit and provide suitable solutions
Develop Technology Roadmap and implement new Technologies
Develop & guide the team members to handle the new technolgy deliveries
Drive the team to strive for high level of design quality and also meeting the cost targets specified without compromising quality of the product and also bringing out some cost effective solution thro IMCR/VAVE activities.
Field failure & analysis: Analysing on field reported concerns and giving solution to reduce/eliminate it and also capturing that particular issue in upcoming products.
Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of Quality tools, DFMEA,Design Reviews & Project management

Qualifications

BE/B Tech Electrical Engineering
BE/B Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineeing
BE/B Tech Automobile engineering
BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills

Good knowledge on Vehilce Electrical and electronics systems, Interfacing with all inter dept teams from start to end of project to ensure First Time Right
Knowledge and Awareness of dev agencies and testing at agency like ARAI / VRDe/I CAT
Awareness of vehicle technical symposiums, conference etc.,
Good knowledge on systems like design review’s/ DFMEA’s
Specialized, Technical Good knowledge on ELECTRIC Vehicles HV system and HV cables
Manufacturing of E&E aggregates

Functional Competencies & Critical Skills

Strong knowledge in Electrical and Electronics Architecure of Automobiles( LV, HV, Networking and commuincation protocols)
Good knowledge in Harness Phyical partinitioning, Assembly & Manufacturing
Good knowledge hands on experience on Architecture & Design Tools like Capital H and PREEVISION
Good Vehicle system knowledge and E&E agregates in the vehicle- Distribution system, Special cables for Data connectivity, Domain
Architectures, Charge ports, EVSE, HV distribution box, Testing of Harness assy in Vehilces and System testing
Very good knowledge in Vehicle electronics & In Vehilce netwroking systems - Body contorl module, ABS/ESP,Airbag &Infotainment, Communicaiton protocols like CAN & LIN
Knowledge in 3D CAD tools
