Senior Engineer

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

•    Support the team lead to execute the seating system delivery by meeting all the project requirements such as Cost, Weight, Performance & timeline in Passenger Vehicle programs.
•    Support with Technical Expertise for appropriate benchmarking, future road map & Proof-of-concept readiness.
•    Well versed with seat structural CAE requirements along with ability to read & interpret the results & support the team lead with viable proposals for action plan against failures.
•    Co-Ordinate for meeting the seats related DVP (Regulatory, Functional, Durability) & achieving the first time right for each program and proposing mitigation plans.
•    Must be aware of upcoming regulations & consider the changes well in advance to ensure future ready seating system for upcoming programs.
•    Support the team lead for achieving the best possible FI targets.
•    Must work collaboratively with CFT’s like CAE, BSR, NVH, STA, DE, VD, PQ, NovaC, Validation, PVT etc to ensure high Quality product Design in line with the industry best practices to enhance Customer’s Experience.

Key Competencies

•    Seating System design & development experience including the cost & weight management.
•    Technical know-how of IS/AIS, ECE, ADR, FMVSS etc standards for seat related DVP.
•    Seating system packaging expertise in both system & vehicle environment.
•    Must be Good at CAD tools like Catia/UG & Team centre management.
•    Strong knowledge of automotive ecosystem with a desire to learn latest technologies.

Soft Skills

•    Strong problem-solving skills.
•    Passion for understanding user experience and idea generation.
•    Technical Know-How of latest seating technologies around the globe & acumen to closely predict the upcoming trends.

Experience

>4-6 years relevant experience in areas of Automotive Seating System Design & Development.
>Expertise in packaging of seating components.
>In depth experience in any of the seating sub system like Structure /Mechanism /Foam /Plastic /Trim Etc.
