Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
System Architecture & Design • Lead the electrical design of HV battery packs including cell interconnects, busbars, contactors, fuses, and insulation systems. • Develop and validate schematics, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts for Battery Management Systems (BMS), current sensors, and voltage monitoring circuits. • Define system-level electrical architecture including HV and LV interfaces, isolation strategies, and grounding schemes. Component Selection & Integration • Select and integrate key components such as relays, connectors, current sensors, pre-charge circuits, and HV disconnects. • Collaborate with thermal and mechanical teams to ensure optimal packaging and cooling of electrical components. Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with automotive and industrial safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 60664, UL 2580, ASIL). • Conduct DFMEA and risk assessments for electrical systems and components. • Implement robust insulation coordination and creepage/clearance analysis for HV systems. Testing & Validation • Develop and execute electrical validation plans including HV insulation testing, continuity checks, and fault injection. • Support EMC/EMI testing and mitigation strategies. • Analyse test data and lead root cause investigations for electrical failures. Project Leadership & Collaboration Coordinate with BMS software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness. • Interface with suppliers to define requirements and resolve technical issues. • Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers in HV system design best practices
Experience
Experience: • 5-8 years - BE/B Tech (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) OR • 4-6 years - ME/M Tech (Electrical & Electronics Engineering

General Requirements
General Requirements: • Strong understanding of HV safety, insulation design, and battery pack architecture. • Proficiency in electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). • Experience with BMS hardware design and integration. • Familiarity with standards like ISO 26262, UN38.3, IEC 62133, and UL 2580. • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skill
