Senior Engineer - Design COE EV

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Design and develop powertrain systems, including ICE, Manual Transmission, E-Powertrain, Battery Pack, and Motor assemblies.
Create, modify, and release 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CATIA or UG NX.
Perform detailed design and optimization of gears, shafts, bearings, and transmission sub-systems.
Conduct gear sizing, ratio selection, strength calculations, and micro-geometry optimization to meet performance targets.
Support CAE, CFD, Romax, and KISSsoft analyses for design validation, durability, thermal, and NVH performance.
Prepare and maintain BOMs, specifications, engineering standards, design guidelines, and release documentation.
Apply DFMEA, DFC, DFM, and DFS methodologies to ensure robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs.
Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, CMM report review, and engineering detailing activities to ensure drawing quality.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing plants to resolve development, integration, and production issues.
Support vehicle and subsystem integration, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Should able to work on E-Powertrain components.
Should able to work on Battery pack layout and model its components
Experience
3 to 5 years

1) Hands on experience on UG, CATIA, AUTOCAD Design of gasoline/Diesel Engine components (crankcase, crankshaft,camshaft, cylinder head)and E-powertrain 2) Over-all Engine , Engine Sub-systems and Components Design: Keeps pace with emerging trends and related application. 3) 3D modelling and 2D drg preperation 4 Strong fundamentals of GD&T and Tolerance stack up analysis 5) Proficient in base level calculations for engine components and systems 6) Knowledge of tolerance stack-up of complex assemblies 7) Should be able to interpret CAE / CFD results for required corrective actions 8) Knowledge in DFMEA, DFC, DFM and DFS 9) Documentation and presentation preparation for Guidelines/Audit |
