To design Automotive parts like Suspension bushes, PT Mounts, Bracket, Driveshaft, Wheel bearing, Clutch Assembly / DMF / Clutch Release System for new vehicle programs considering manufacturing feasibility & assembly requirements.
Benchmarking of various vehicle systems - Clutch, Driveshaft, Wheel hub bearing, PT Mounts & Suspension bushes Vehicle performance attribute target setting and evaluation, Aligning product / customer requirement through benchmarking of the vehicle system to system design specification, component design specification and CAE Design specification. Interfacing with material management team for development of proto parts and ensure building of prototype for concept verification, Vehicle development work - Ride tuning exercise, Vehicle performance enhancement, Ensure quality compliance in all products of the platform to meet the requirements of customer, Work towards resolution of field complaints and work closely with PVT teams, Ensure cost reduction by collaborating with Integrated Material Cost Reduction team in taking initiatives to reduce product cost General Requirements o Chassis and Systems level design o Understanding of K & C parameters o GD&T, Material selection and manufacturing methods o DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, o Domestic and International Design Standards o QFD and 6-Sigma Practices o CAD knowledge (CATIA and Team centre PLM) Knowledge of Regulations requirement, Concept Finalization, Vehicle & Chassis systems configuration with Interface packaging layout; Vehicle performance attribute target setting and evaluation 1) Key Result Areas: ? Benchmarking and Target Setting for System Performance, Cost and Weight. ? Comply with requirements of MPDS through product life cycle development stages
? Have development background in managing and tracking parts for vehicle level build during major events Target cascading, Development of 1-D mathematical models/calculations, Concept design Feasibility Study and Evaluating Trade-off Matrix (Pugh matrix and Decision evolving matrix) Reviewing System Interfaces, Monitoring system Confidence Maturity Matrix.
