Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Senior Engineer in NVH at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) deliverables. Your responsibilities include:
- Powertrain level NVH development through testing.
- Target setting and Target cascading for Engine and Transmission
- Meeting NVH target ( Engine 1-m noise and Transmission Whine and torsional vibration) as per project requirements by proposing modification
- Preparing design guidelines for Engine and Transmission for ensuring implementation at CAD stage with design team as part of contenting strategy.
- Attend CFT meeting and highlight NVH risk to PEH
- Collaborate with NVH simulation team for faster delivery
Experience
Your role as a Senior Engineer requires a solid foundation of experience, ideally ranging from 3 to 5 years in the field of Tractors & Farm Equipment. Preferred qualifications include:
- Proficiency in NVH instrumentation and testing.
- Knowledge of NVH diagnosis techniques like TPA, ODS, Modal Analysis
- Acquittance of NVH measurement system- LMS Test.lab, B & K
- Basic knowledge of structure borne / airborne noise sources and respective noise reduction measures.
Industry Preferred
We prefer candidates from the farm machinery industry, particularly those with experience in tractor NVH roles. Candidates having backgrounds from leading farm & agricultural equipment manufacturers are highly valued due to their familiarity with industry standards and practices.
Understanding market trends and innovations in the automotive sector may also enhance your suitability for this position.
Qualifications
A Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering is required for this role. Your educational background should equip you with the foundational knowledge necessary to grasp advanced concepts in NVH analysis.
Holding additional certifications or courses related to NVH testing or noise control engineering will be considered beneficial. Continuous improvement in knowledge through workshops or seminars relevant to engineering trends is also encouraged.
