Senior Engineer Vehicle Integration

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

'- Make different Conceptual options to finalise 3D layout
- Heat load calculations, Preparation of SOR.  
- Packaging & integrating Engine interface systems into a vehicle
- Detailed design of Engine interface systems (3D modeling and drawing preparation) like Radiator, Charge air Cooler, Fuel Cooler, Air cleaner, Muffler, Hoses, surge tank & Mountings to meet Delivery targets.
-Should have exposure on manufacturing process like rubber and plastic moulding and sheet metal fabrication.
- Should have worked in New Product Development Projects
- Good Knowledge in GD & T, Tolerance stack up
- Co-ordinations and discussion with other COEs

Functional Competencies: 

CAD knowledge (Unigraphics, Creo & Team center PLM)
Vehicle component & system level design (Cooling systems) 
GD&T, material selection and manufacturing methods
DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS,
QFD & 6-Sigma Practices

Technical Skill set:

-Understanding engine input data, performing Heat load calculations

-Coordinating with VA, CFD team to complete Front end air flow analysis-Preparation of SOR, Doing/ Understanding 1-D simulation for Radiator/ Intercooler/ Fuel cooler sizing

-Interaction with proprietary suppliers to optimize cooling system and finalise 3D model and 2D drawing as per packaging constraints and finalise DVP

-Surge tank design calculations

-Fan selection and optimizing fan speed for optimum power consumption

-Interaction with CAE team to complete analysis

-DFMEA for cooling system

-Should have good hands on experience on CAD software's like, Unigraphics, Creo and Team Center
