Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Lead upper body DE team from Concept phase to SOP to make sure intended form, fit and function of the vehicle
Design and evaluate Gap and Flush targets for new vehicles based on internal and External vehicles benchmarking
Participate in reviews with suppliers and internal teams to ensure dimensional feasibility
Validate datum concepts and fixture and gauge strategies from manufacturing/assembly perspective
Review and guide the team for GD&T drawing creations for parts and assemblies
Guide and review the team in Tolerance Stackups and DVA studies
Provide practical guidance on tolerance vs. manufacturability trade-offs
Lead and help in root-cause analysis and provide ICA and PCA solutions to resolve build issues during MP, VP & PP builds to make sure intended dimensional requirements of vehicle form, fit and function
Work closely with cross functional teams

Experience

12–15 years of experience in BIW Dimensional Engineering

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Engineering Graduate.
