Senior Lead Engineer - VES

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Define and drive end-to-end validation strategy for ADAS features (AEB, ACC, LKA, Parking Assist, etc.)
2. Lead validation activities across MIL, SIL, HIL, VIL, and Vehicle Testing
3. Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448), NCAP, and regulatory requirements
4. Own validation planning, execution tracking, and defect management aligned to program timelines
5. Establish and monitor KPIs: validation coverage, defect leakage, test efficiency
6. Perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution with cross-functional teams
7. Develop and implement test automation strategies to improve validation efficiency
8. Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and supplier teams for integrated validation
9. Drive risk-based validation approach balancing safety, cost, and timeline constraints
10. Mentor and lead a team of validation engineers, ensuring technical excellence and delivery
11. Provide clear program status updates to leadership, highlighting risks and mitigation plans
12. Support vehicle-level validation and customer acceptance readiness
Experience
10–15 years in ADAS / Automotive Validation (Tier-1 or OEM)
Industry Preferred
Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 Supplier working on ADAS / Autonomous Driving
Qualifications
BE/BTech/ME/MTech-Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics or any equivalent
General Requirements
1. Expertise in ADAS validation lifecycle (V-cycle)
2. Strong knowledge of:
. ADAS Sensors: Camera, Radar, LiDAR, Ultrasonics
. Sensor Fusion & Perception Systems
3. Experience with validation tools:
. CANoe / CANalyzer
. dSPACE / ETAS / NI
. MATLAB / Simulink
. Python-based automation frameworks
. IPG CarMaker, dSPACE AURELION
4. Understanding of:
. Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
. ADAS regulations & NCAP requirements
5. Hands-on experience in:
. HIL/SIL/MIL setups
. Test case creation and scenario-based validation
. Data analysis and log evaluation
6. Exposure to CI/CD and virtual validation environments
