Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Key Tasks and Deliverables
- Develop and maintain expertise in various Lithium-ion battery cell types, modules, and packs, as well as hybrid engine components.
- Analyze and correlate field issues with validation processes and Design Verification Plan (DVP).
- Design and derive validation test cases specific to powertrain systems.
- Identify and document new failure modes during design and development phases.
- Conduct root cause analysis and prepare comprehensive 8D reports.
- Ensure compliance with global powertrain testing standards.
Critical Must-Have Deliverables
- Accurate correlation of field issues to validation and DVP.
- Robust validation test cases for powertrain systems.
- Timely identification and reporting of design failure modes.
- Complete root cause analysis and 8D documentation for critical issues.
Good-to-Have Deliverables
- Proactive recommendations for design improvements based on failure analysis.
- Contribution to cross-functional initiatives for enhancing powertrain reliability.
- Knowledge sharing and mentoring within the engineering team.
Experience
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in powertrain systems validation and testing.
- Hands-on experience with Lithium-ion battery technology and hybrid engine components.
Industry Preferred
- Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers specializing in EV/Hybrid powertrain systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
- Certifications in powertrain testing or battery technology (preferred).
