Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1️. Key Tasks and Deliverables
-
Lead end-to-end integration, validation, and verification of Battery Management Systems (BMS) within electric powertrains for passenger EVs.
-
Ensure timely delivery of Electrical & Electronics (E/E) packages for xEV platforms, aligned with regulatory standards and program milestones.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power Distribution Box (PDB) features, optimizing for quality, cost, and schedule.
-
Drive execution excellence by mentoring junior engineers and managing technical deliverables across development phases.
-
Conduct system-level diagnostics and root cause analysis using quality tools and structured methodologies.
-
Review and validate BMS circuit designs, CAN communication matrices, and embedded diagnostic strategies.
-
Coordinate with suppliers for component development, validation, and compliance assurance.
-
Execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) and participate in DFMEA reviews to mitigate technical risks.
-
Operate and manage test equipment including oscilloscopes, battery cyclers, and data loggers for validation activities.

Analyze vehicle and pack-level logs to identify and resolve system-level issues.
2️. Critical Must-Have Deliverables

Validated and production-ready BMS and Cell Supervisory Controller (CSC) systems with full compliance to safety and performance standards.

First-Time-Right delivery of E/E systems across xEV platforms.

Robust diagnostics and fault tracing protocols implemented across vehicle-level systems.

Successful execution of DVP and DFMEA for all battery-related components.

Supplier coordination and validation reports ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
3️. Good-to-Have Deliverables

Development and automation of CAPL/CASL scripts for testing and diagnostics.

Contribution to homologation documentation and regulatory compliance strategies.

Support in developing energy storage architectures for BEV, PHEV, EREV, and SHEV platforms.

Cross-functional training modules for junior engineers and new hires.
-
Participation in innovation forums and technical benchmarking initiatives.
Experience
-
Minimum 15 years of experience in the automotive sector with a focus on electric vehicle systems and high-voltage architectures.

Proven track record in system integration, validation, and supplier collaboration for E/E systems.
-
Extensive hands-on experience with vehicle-level testing, fault tracing, and diagnostics.
Industry Preferred
-
Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers specializing in Electric Vehicles (EVs), Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), and advanced powertrain systems.
-
Experience in passenger vehicle programs with embedded systems and high-voltage component integration.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

Certifications in automotive diagnostics, embedded systems, or EV architecture (preferred).
-
Training in DFMEA, DVP, and CAN/LIN communication protocols is highly desirable.
