Sr Lead Engineer- Mechanical Development

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
'1.Possess strong knowledge of engine parts, functional requirements, and durability standards.
2.Experience with functional and durability test requirements for engines and their subsystems.
3.Accountable for the comprehensive development, testing, and validation of engines to achieve performance targets, fuel efficiency, emission durability, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) standards.
4. Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of engine development timelines with respect to SOP, and ensuring timely escalation in case of deviations.
5.Conduct regular reviews of engine development progress with cross-functional teams (CFT) and team members to adhere to development timelines.
Analyze functional and durability test data, preparing technical reports and necessary documentation to support developmental milestones.
6.Perform detailed investigations of engine durability issues (both rig and vehicle), utilizing tools such as FMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa diagram.
7.Collaborate with design, CAE, calibration, vehicle integration, manufacturing, and suppliers to preemptively address potential failure modes during the design and prototype phases of engine development.
8.Maintain strong knowledge of current and proposed emission norms and understand the necessary changes in engine components to meet these emission standards.
9.Work with various cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities, explore new technologies, and implement improvements.

12- 13 years post BE

Qualifications
Qualification
Graduate/PG Engineers (Mechanical or related streams). Diploma Engineers also can be considered based on interveiw.
