Sr. Engineer - CEA

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Test Planning and Execution:
    • Understand test requirements from Design, CAE, and Test Lab teams.
    • Develop DAQ test plans, measurement strategies, and channel configuration sheets.
    • Select appropriate sensors (strain gauges, accelerometers, thermocouples, pressure sensors, etc.).
    • Perform Strain gauge installation and calibration
  2. Data Acquisition Execution:
    • Configure and operate DAQ systems such as:
    • HBK / Somat eDAQ & eDAQXR
    • Conduct instrumented vehicle/component testing (static & dynamic).
    • Monitor real time data quality and ensure signal integrity.
    • Troubleshoot DAQ hardware, wiring, communication errors, and sensor faults.
  3. Data Processing & Analysis:
    • Download, validate, and clean raw data using tools like:
    • nCode GlyphWorks
    • Perform duty-cycle creation, load spectrum analysis, filtering, fatigue analysis, and event extraction.
    • Prepare test reports, documentation, and present insights to engineering teams
  4. CrossFunctional Support:
    • Support Test Lab technicians during fixture installation and test runs.
    • Coordinate with CAE for correlation studies and model validation.
    • Support Design teams by providing validated data for improvement actions.

Experience

3 to 5 Years of experience in DAQ, testing or vehicle instrumentation

 

 

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or related engineering field

General Requirements

Knowledge of Tractor Aggregates/ sub systems & their Functioning.
Knowledge of sensors, transducers, data loggers, Strain Gauges its calibration
Knowledge of various Field applications, implements & loading pattern
Knowledge on instrumentation of tractors
Knowledge of Field failures
Experience with nCode software for data analysis and duty cycle analysis for fatigue and transmission
