Sr. Engineer - Calibration

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

'- Responsible for integration of the ePowertrain System (electric motor, Battery pack) and its control units (VCU / HCU, BMS, OCDC, EMS, MCU) into the vehicle to complete system-level test and validation.
- Responsible for leading the development, integration and testing of demonstration vehicles.
- Lead cross-functional integration, ensuring functionality and compatibility across all vehicle systems.
- Coordinate multiple demonstration vehicle builds and verification tests simultaneously.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including system architecture and flow charts.
- Document electric and hybrid powertrain system requirements and decompose them into component and integration requirements for each project.
- Manage technical aspects of multiple system integration and validation projects and provide status to integrated project teams.
- Interact with internal CFT and external suppliers for successful project completion.
- Create and execute electric and hybrid powertrain system/component functionality and reliability validation plans before vehicle insertion.
- Support the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test process, including commissioning, test planning and automation.
- Participate in summer, winter and high-altitude expedition tests for vehicle-function calibration and verification.
- Analyze test results and prepare calibration reports.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML to define use cases, functional architecture, interfaces and system behavior.
- Establish end-to-end traceability from stakeholder requirements through functions, logical architecture, implementation and validation evidence.
- Define and review signal-level requirements and interfaces across CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet networks.
- Build simulation models and scenario-based tests to validate control logic, state transitions, HMI interactions and system behavior before vehicle testing.
- Perform change-impact analysis and maintain consistency across requirements, signals, system models and design documentation.
- Support ECU communication design, network artifacts and diagnostic monitoring, including ARXML, DIDs, RIDs and DTCs where applicable.
- Participate in technical reviews, Agile ceremonies and customer/supplier discussions to resolve integration issues and align design decisions.

Experience

2+ years of relevant systems-engineering experience; automotive or electrified-powertrain experience preferred

Industry Preferred

Automotive / EV powertrain / automotive engineering services

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline

General Requirements

''- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining MIL, HIL and system-verification test cases and infrastructure.
- Experience in plant modeling for electric motors, high-voltage battery systems, vehicle dynamics and thermal systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication links and protocols, including CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet and SAE J1939, plus powertrain/transmission controls.
- Proficiency with data acquisition and development tools such as INCA, MATLAB/Simulink, Uniplot, VISU, Python, requirements-management tools, CANalyzer and CANape.
- In-depth knowledge of BEV, HEV and PHEV architectures, components and vehicle-level features.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering and SysML experience using tools such as IBM Rhapsody or CATIA Magic.
- Requirements engineering, decomposition, change-impact analysis and bidirectional traceability using IBM DOORS or DOORS Next Generation.
- Functional architecture and behavior modeling using use-case, BDD, IBD, activity, sequence and state-machine diagrams.
- Experience with simulation-based validation, test-case design and requirement-to-test traceability.
- Understanding of ECU/network design artifacts, ARXML and diagnostic services such as DIDs, RIDs and DTCs.
- Familiarity with engineering collaboration and lifecycle tools such as ENOVIA, RTC, JIRA, Confluence, Git and Jenkins.
- Up-to-date understanding of vehicle-level features and automotive-industry trends.
