Functional Competencies:

1. Demonstrates the ability to make Design Specification decisions by taking into account the cost impact , possibility to meet the targets, correlation to FI targets such as weight, layout, tolerances, serviceability, accessibility, maintainability, QFT targets, friction /performance etc.
2. Interprets the concept of and trends in CAE / CFD and NVH results and suggest modifications to meet the target with minimum impact on cost and weight.
3. Possesses in-depth knowledge of complex calculations, DFMEA for engine components and sub-systems
4. Possesses working fundamentals of GD&T and Tolerance stack up analysis of complex assemblies, hands on experience on computer aided tools.
5. Leverages in-depth engine design knowledge to suggest the right selection of materials to optimise the design and uses benchmarks on cost & light weighting techniques and processes for incorporation into the design to meet weight & cost targets.
6. Hands on experience of design of 5C components of Engine design, manufacturing processes, validation requirements.
