Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Territory Manager - Sales at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a crucial role in driving enquiry generation and conversion for the Mahindra portfolio targeting farmers with high land holdings.
Your responsibilities will include offering farm mechanization solutions for various crop stages, partnering to enhance farm productivity through proof of concept showcases, demo models, and more. You will also be expected to explore new revenue opportunities for farmers and focus on upskilling laborers and tractor drivers to enhance their application of farm mechanization equipment.
Additionally, you will be responsible for solution-based selling, highlighting the superiority of the Mahindra tractor + implement product range to drive sales and business growth.

Education Qualification
To excel in this role, you should hold a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Agriculture Management would be advantageous.
Relevant certifications or courses in sales techniques, customer relationship management, and agricultural technology will be considered a plus.
Your educational background should equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively engage with farmers, understand their needs, and provide tailored farm mechanization solutions.
General Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the farm sector or related industries. You should have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, building partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
Experience in selling agricultural machinery, equipment, or implements will be highly valued. Familiarity with the farm mechanization landscape and an understanding of crop cycles and agricultural practices are essential for success in this position.
Critical Experience
For this role, critical experience includes a deep understanding of consumer behaviour in the agriculture sector, effective credit management practices, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Experience in market research, data analysis, and developing comprehensive sales strategies is key to driving success in this role.
You should have a strong background in performance management, training and development, as well as a sound financial acumen to manage budgets, evaluate profitability, and drive revenue generation.
