Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Equipment:-- Must have through knowledge of Endo Gas generator, Sealed Quench furnaces, Continuos Gas Carburising Furnace, Shot peening, Nitrgen generator

Process:-- Through knowledge of Gas Carburising, Case Hardening, carbonitriding, Induction hardening, Plug/Press quenching, Shot Peening

Metallography:-- Confident of operating lab equipments like microscope, microhardness
                           Testers, spectrometers. Command over microstructure and its impacts

Safety:--       knowledge of safety accessories, PPEs, statutory requirements, liaison with
                       External inspection bodies/ assesors


Maintain and improve all PQCDSM parameters. Set yearly Goals and allot projects to subordinates, track  and periodical review of the projects. Guiding and mentoring for achieving individual as well as Module level Targets. Develope process parameters for New Products.  Liasion with other departments, other locations and concerned external agencies. To keep information of latest developement in our own Functional field. Guide and develope subordinates for such new developements and bring them up for functional competancies. Maintain discipline of the departments. Tap potential of Cell Members and extract best out of it. Taking training of Cell Members for improving their skills and competancy. Allign self and department with companies priority from time to time.


Skills :-- Trouble shooting of process, Equipments, online process corrections reading and analyzing microstructure, making process improvements on the basis of findings.


Systems and standards:--Maintenance and Compliance of various standadrs such as TS/QS9000, OHSAS/ISO-14000, Sustainability. Maintain and adhare to verious statutory requirements partaining to safety, health and occupational health hazards.


- TQM - Ensure adherence & improvement in Quality systems - PPAP, Process Mapping & Process flow, FMEA, Control Plan, SOP, etc.

Job Requirements


25 to 30 years


5 to 8 years shop floor in HT operations, out of which 2 to 3 years in laboratory,Process Engg. / Mfg. Engg.

Industry Preferred

Area:--Special Process /Auto Components / Component development.

BE/B. Tech - Metallurgy
