Job Title: Deputy Manager - Production
Required Qualification: BE/ B Tech (Mechanical)
Required Experience: 5 - 8 Years in Operations / Production
Job Purpose: The Deputy manager (Production) is responsible for day to day shop floor execution across project, managing material flow and production resources, meet targets, co-ordinate with essential stake holders, participate in various audits, closely monitor safety, quality and productivity while managing various production operations such as machining, welding, painting and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
1) Monitor production schedules and outputs, ensuring timely completion of orders and achievement of production targets
2) Coordinate with Design, Purchase, PPC, Projects, Stores, Logistics, and marketing for end-to-end order execution
3) Manage manpower allocation, training, and skill development to enhance workforce productivity
4) Actively participated in the associate appraisal process
5) Provide inputs for budgeting, resource planning, and cost optimization in production
6) Collaborate with safety and quality teams to maintain workplace safety and product quality
7) Prepare and execute monthly production capacity planning to manage workload fluctuations and optimize manpower deployment
8) Support project execution by aligning production activities with project timelines and deliverables
9) Provide timely technical support to the Customer Success team during issue resolution and as required
10) Actively participate in safety and quality audits, including TMSW, ISO 45001, and AS9100D
11) Closely monitor assembly and welding operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
12) Identify, analyse, and resolve issues arising in assembly processes to minimize production delays
13) Conduct physical verification of WIP inventory and prepare quarterly and yearly inventory reports for submission to Accounts
14) Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
Required Skills
1) Experience in project execution and production planning
2) Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
3) Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
4) Hands-on experience with SAP for production and inventory management
5) Strong understanding of quality control standards and practices, particularly AS 9100D
6) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement technologies
7) Having Hands on Experience on best welding practices in defence /Aerospace industries. Expertise in WPS/PQR/WPQ Preparation and welder/Welding process qualifications
8) Knowledge of machining process (CNC/VMC), its tooling and deviations analysis with the help of why-why analysis
9) Basic Knowledge of painting processes followed in industries
10) Strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively across departments
