The Deputy Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for leading process industrialization, NPI/NPD support, optimizing aerospace component manufacturing, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical expertise in machining, special processes, tooling, PFMEA, PPAP, and process validation within aerospace manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead NPI / new part development from quotation stage to customer approval and serial release.

Develop Manufacturing Process (MPP), routing sheets, and detailed operation sheets

Drive first‑time‑right process validation.

Define machining strategies for 3‑axis, 4‑axis, and 5‑axis CNC operations.

Coordinate with Tool Room for fixtures, jigs, and cutting tool selection/optimization.

Validate CNC programs, cycle time optimization, and dimensional stability.

Prepare and own PFMEA, Process Flow Charts with customer documents as per APQP

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

Lead Lean, Kaizen, and systematic problem‑solving (8D, DMAIC) initiatives.

Improve throughput, reduce setup times, and enhance productivity.

Deliver cost improvements through scrap reduction, tool life improvement, and cycle time reduction.

Strong knowledge of precision machining, especially aerospace aluminum, steel, and titanium components.

Proficiency in GD&T, interpretation of customer specifications, and aerospace drawings.

Hands‑on familiarity with CATIA / NX / SolidWorks for model and tooling review.

Experience with APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, PFMEA, SPC, and aerospace documentation.

Understanding of special processes used in aerospace (heat treatment, anodizing, passivation, coatings, NDT).
