  • Physical Inspections: Conduct detailed visual and tactile inspections of assemblies, sub-assemblies, and installations (e.g,structural rivets, Part to Part Gaps).
  • Measurement & Testing: Use precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and borescopes to verify dimensions against blueprints.
  • Documentation Review: Manufacturing logs to ensure every step of the assembly process was performed by certified personnel and signed off correctly.
  • Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR): Identify defects or deviations, document them clearly, and initiate the process for disposition
  • First Article Inspection (FAI): Validate the very first production run of a new part to ensure the manufacturing process is capable of producing consistent results. Prepare FAI documents inline to AS9102 Standard

 

 

Requirement

Description

Blueprint Reading

Ability to interpret complex GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) symbols.

Instrument Usage

Should have hands on experience in handling Instruments for Assembly Inspections

Regulatory Knowledge

Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
