Assistant Manager - Security

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Conduct regular and thorough security patrols to ensure the safety and security of the premises, monitoring for any unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Protect company property and assets against theft, embezzlement, sabotage, trespassing, fire hazards, and accidents through vigilant oversight and timely intervention.
  • Observe, document, and report any unlawful or unauthorized activities to the relevant authorities, ensuring prompt and appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Implement effective measures to prevent theft, misappropriation, or damage to goods, money, proprietary information, and other valuable company assets.
  • Safeguard individuals and property within the premises, extending protection to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Administer control over access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel gain entry in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage crowd control in public or company event settings by maintaining order, responding to escalations neutrally and professionally.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, trespassing, and suspicious activities with a proactive approach; take lawful and company-authorized actions to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain composure in challenging situations, using tact and sound judgment to neutralize conflicts and de-escalate potential threats calmly.
  • Identify and report safety and fire hazards, collaborating with the safety team to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety.
  • Enforce adherence to company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to customers, employees, visitors, and the public, fostering a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
  • Support emergency response activities, including evacuation processes and crisis management initiatives as required by company protocol.
  • Continuously update security knowledge and skills in line with industry best practices and evolving security technologies.

Education Qualification

The ideal candidate will hold a Graduate degree from a recognized institution, demonstrating a solid academic foundation. A background in criminal justice, security management, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.

Completion of professional certifications in security management, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent, will be considered a strong asset.

Continuous learning and participation in workshops or training related to fire safety, emergency response, and first aid are highly encouraged to maintain up-to-date skills relevant to the role.

The role demands a commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements related to security and safety.

General Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of six years of progressive experience in industrial security, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sectors. Demonstrated competence in managing security operations in complex and dynamic industrial environments is essential.

Experience should include hands-on involvement in handling security systems, conducting risk assessments, and implementing preventative security measures tailored to large-scale facilities.

Proven ability to lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including safety, administration, and law enforcement agencies, is critical.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders—employees, visitors, security personnel, and external agencies—are mandatory.

Exposure to contemporary security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control, and incident reporting software, will be highly beneficial.

  • Emergency Response Coordination: Proficient in executing emergency protocols including fire safety, accident response, and disaster management with proven effectiveness.
  • Communication and Reporting: Proficient in detailed documentation and communication of incident reports, security audits, and daily operational activities to management and relevant authorities.
  • Team Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in managing, developing, and motivating security staff while fostering positive relations with internal teams and external law enforcement and emergency response units.
  • Adherence to Compliance and Ethical Standards: Demonstrated commitment to enforcing company security policies, regulatory compliance, and promoting an ethical work environment.
