Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Engineering
- Lead planning, budgeting, execution, commissioning, and maintenance of infrastructure and utility systems.
- Manage Greenfield and Brownfield expansion projects.
- Oversee electrical, HVAC, compressed air, water treatment, fire protection, fuel systems, and material handling infrastructure.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, government agencies, and utility providers.
- Ensure statutory, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
2. Manufacturing Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SMED, VSM, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Drive waste elimination, process optimization, quality improvement, and cost reduction programs.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
3. CAPEX, Technology & Automation
- Lead the annual manufacturing CAPEX planning cycle, aligning capital investments with business growth, operational excellence objectives, customer requirements, and future manufacturing capability needs.
- Develop and execute long-term manufacturing technology and automation roadmaps supporting capacity expansion, productivity improvement, digital transformation, and aerospace competitiveness.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies including CNC machining, robotics, automation systems, smart tooling, additive manufacturing, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive techno-commercial evaluations, ROI analysis, lifecycle cost assessments, benchmarking studies, and risk assessments for all major capital investment decisions.
- Lead machine selection, supplier evaluation, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and equipment qualification processes.
- Drive industrialization and commissioning of new manufacturing lines, equipment, tooling, and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to build compelling business cases and investment justifications.
- Ensure all investments comply with aerospace quality, regulatory, safety, and customer requirements while maintaining future scalability.
- Champion adoption of digital manufacturing technologies, robotics, automated inspection systems, predictive maintenance, artificial intelligence, and connected factory solutions.
- Establish strategic partnerships with global OEMs, automation providers, machine builders, and technology innovators to continuously enhance manufacturing capabilities.
4. Manufacturing Process & Capacity Planning
- Optimize manufacturing processes, factory layouts, material flow, and production systems.
- Develop short and long-term capacity expansion plans.
- Support business growth through manufacturing feasibility and industrialization assessments.
5. Cost Transformation & Asset Management
- Drive productivity-led cost reduction initiatives across labor, energy, tooling, materials, and manufacturing operations.
- Lead Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA) projects.
- Improve asset productivity and return on investment.
6. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, DGCA, CEMILAC, EASA, FAA, and customer-specific requirements.
- Support audits, process governance, risk management, and manufacturing quality systems.
7. Strategic Projects & Leadership
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation, modernization, and capacity expansion projects.
- Develop business cases and investment proposals for senior management.
- Build high-performing teams and develop organizational capabilities in Plant Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence.
Education : BE, B Tech- Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering
Experiance : 15 to 20 years of relevent experiance.
