Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Costing
- Maintain Material Master Data per SAP standard processes.
- Analyze material consumption for various SAP movements and drive actions for cost control.
- Identify and present cost-impacting elements on P&L not through BOM.
- Conduct monthly Variance Analysis of manufacturing parts: Standard vs. Actual.
- Assess the impact of material price and vendor mix changes on Engine/Vehicle costs.
- Perform Standard Costing, Monthly Rollup, and Budget Rollup for existing and new Engine models.
- Prepare model cost comparison with Standard cost, and MIS to explain cost changes.
- Handle Inter-Unit Transfer parts valuation.
- Determine Sale Pricing for Engines.
- Validate Cost Saving ideas from the Operations team.
- Implement internal checks and controls for accurate aggregate/vehicle costing.
- Generate and propose cost reduction ideas for implementation.
- Reconcile material consumption report for FI vs CO monthly.
- Compile expenses to calculate Hourly rates for Machines & Direct Labor and apply them to Manufacturing parts to detail Expenses at Engine/Vehicle level.
- Prepare and discuss capacity utilization reports monthly with Plant Head.
- Monitor and reconcile Scrap related activities and generate MIS.
Inventory
- Conduct month-end Inventory valuation for Bought-out, Mfg-WIP & FG and calculate NODs.
- Analyze Inventory partwise, including further analysis by model level, ABC, Age, Slow & Non-moving parts.
- Calculate provisions for Slow & Non-moving stock and write back.
- Generate MIS showing value trends & NODs, highlighting actionable points for value control and target NOD achievement.
- Analyze FG stock based on age and movement.
- Conduct monthly reviews with the Purchase Dept and Plant Head.
- Participate and drive actions in physical stock take, both Perpetual and Annual.
Budget
- Develop Material consumption Budget based on the next year's production plan.
- Estimate Inventory and NODs for the upcoming financial year.
Audits
- Participate in Internal & External Audits.
- Monitor ICFR and COSO compliances, and ensure internal controls checklist adherence.
- Conduct self-audits on various material movements and SAP transactions.
- Perform Process Audits as planned by Costing CoE.
Routine Operations
- Handle day-to-day operational issues.
- Support Costing CoE with MIS and analysis requirements.
- Focus on IT enablement and report digitization for ongoing improvement.
