Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations Management

• Ensure smooth, efficient, and effective functioning of security operations across all shifts.
• Maintain 24x7 security coverage of plant premises, assets, employees, visitors, and critical infrastructure.
• Supervise deployment, attendance, discipline, and performance of contract security personnel and security agencies.
• Ensure strict implementation of access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Monitor gate operations, vehicle movement, parking management, and material inward/outward processes.
• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance activities to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

Surveillance & Access Control

• Monitor and ensure effective functioning of CCTV systems, access control systems, boom barriers, visitor management systems, and other security infrastructure.
• Manage security control room operations and ensure timely monitoring, reporting, and escalation of incidents.
• Review surveillance records and security reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Asset Protection & Loss Prevention

• Safeguard company assets, inventory, equipment, facilities, and personnel against theft, pilferage, vandalism, fraud, and unauthorized activities.
• Monitor material movement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Investigate security incidents, material discrepancies, pilferage cases, and policy violations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize security breaches and losses.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and loss prevention initiatives.

Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness

• Conduct periodic security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security audits.
• Develop, implement, and monitor mitigation plans for identified security threats and operational risks.
• Support emergency preparedness programs, evacuation drills, crisis management initiatives, and business continuity plans.
• Coordinate closely with Fire & Safety teams during emergencies and ensure readiness of security personnel for emergency response and disaster management situations.

Regulatory Compliance & External Liaison

• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, legal, and corporate security requirements.
• Liaise effectively with local police authorities, government agencies, industrial associations, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the obtaining, renewal, and maintenance of security-related licenses, permits, and approvals.
• Coordinate and assist law enforcement agencies during investigations and compliance audits whenever required.

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare and maintain security MIS, incident reports, audit reports, compliance documentation, and management dashboards.
• Analyze security trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of security systems and processes.
• Support budgeting, procurement, and vendor management activities related to security operations.

Preferred Industries

Education Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Certification/Diploma in Security Management, Industrial Security, Safety & Security, Defence Services, or a related field will be preferred.
