Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As a Officer - Special Process KND at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a crucial role in independently handling overall Metallurgical lab activities in the plant. Your responsibilities will include conducting Metallurgical Failure analysis of all customer issues, both in-house and at user plants or fields. You will be in charge of proactively auditing supplier parts at defined frequencies and tracking all metallurgical issues to implement necessary corrective actions. Additionally, you will lead proactive audits at the supplier end for special processes such as Heat treatment and plating, along with conducting supplier audits at periodic intervals. Furthermore, you will provide technical support and guidance to the SQI team on metallurgy matters and have exposure to painting process control.

Education Qualification

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree. In addition, having certifications or additional training in relevant areas of metallurgy and quality assurance would be advantageous.

General Experience

The successful candidate should have a Diploma with 5 to 8 years of experience or a BE with 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar role. Having hands-on experience in conducting metallurgical failure analysis, supplier audits, and providing technical support will be beneficial.

Critical Experience

It is essential for the Officer - Special Process KND to have a strong understanding of Six Sigma principles, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), ISO TS 16949 Quality Management, and QC Story methodologies. Moreover, having experience in strategic business orientation, customer focus, innovation-led transformation, result orientation with execution excellence, leveraging human capital, and weaving passion and energy at work will be highly valued in this role at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
