Assistant Manager - Projects and Systems

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of material handling equipment and utilities, including fire protection systems, DG sets, and electrical systems. The role also involves driving innovations to achieve departmental MOPs (Measures of Performance).

1. Hands-on experience in the maintenance of conveyors (roller, chain, cross transfer, belt, spiral, MBC), VRC, strapping machines, weighing scales, sealing and wrapping machines, and battery-operated hand strapping tools.
2. Working knowledge of dock levellers, scissor lifts, goods lifts, EOT cranes, hoists, air vessels, and compressors.
3. Experience in implementing low-cost automation initiatives.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems along with troubleshooting capabilities.
5. Hands-on expertise in resolving electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
6. Experience in maintenance of battery-operated and diesel-operated material handling equipment such as forklifts, stackers, tow trucks, and reach trucks.
7. Practical experience in energy-saving techniques and initiatives.
8. Exposure to maintenance of material handling equipment and other warehouse machinery.
9. Proficiency in MS Office applications is mandatory.
10. Knowledge of OHSAS and EMS system requirements.
11. Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) will be an added advantage.
12. Understanding of legal compliances and statutory requirements such as equipment calibration, stack monitoring, etc.
13. Basic knowledge of spare parts management and inventory control.
14. Experience in operation and maintenance of utilities, including STP, fire protection systems, hydro-pneumatic systems, etc.

Education Qualification

General Experience

5 to 8 years of relevant work experience

Critical Experience

1. Should be having adequate knowledge in trouble shooting in electrical /mechanical system
2. Should be well conversant with Low cost automation , MFS  etc.
3. Hands on knowledge in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley & Mitsubishi etc)
4. Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, and GEP platforms is an added advantage.
