Deputy Manager - Employee Relations

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Employee Relations professional with 7–10 years of experience to contribute and manage employee relations initiatives across the organization. This role is pivotal in maintaining positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support on complex employee issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with management for plant ER activities
  • Managing Mathadi related activities including agreements
  • Contractor & sub- contractor management, along with the unionized workforce of contractors
  • Responsible for contract labour management and compliances, contract and wage checking statutory payment verification for PAN India locations
  • Tracking all applicable statutory provisions and ensuring timely compliances through portal for PAN India locations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as various vendors and contractors to maintain and improve services
  • Resolving IR Related issues amicably working with blue collar workforce and mathadi union
  • Ensure all MIS weekly monthly and yearly.
  • Provide data for BRSR- ESG submission and ensure that the sustainability goals are met
  • Ensuring the POSH compliance and have a close monitoring related to female working in shop floor
  • Liasion with Government authorities for ensuring legal compliance and developing healthy relationship with these stakeholders
  • Conducting engagement activities for the blue-collar employees
  • Oversee second shift female operations and apprenticeship compliance engaged through 3PL
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies, grievances local as well as external as & when arise and deal with consequences
  • Drafting legal documents, negotiating contracts & agreements etc.in consultation with central legal team
  • Maintaining a central repository of agreements for PAN India locations and tracking the same for renewal or extension
  • Representing ER in various internal and external audits & TMW
  • Management of Gurukul and contractor onboarding
  • Handling contractual biometrics through CLMS
  • Implementation of new labour code policies and practices
  • Representing company cases pertaining to Civil, Criminal and Labour Laws
  • Creche operations and management
