Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Project Management and its execution for New Product Packaging Development, Damage Claim reduction, Packaging Cost optimization
Supplier Evaluation and Selection for Packaging material
Source packaging, samples development, validation of samples and manage the approval process with all parties (internal as well as supplier)
Prepare and conclude Packaging signoffs with Suppliers and Manufacturing plants
Cost Estimation for Approved packaging signoffs and Provide Should Be Cost inputs to Sourcing
Prepare MIS for Management review on New Products Packaging Development and Should Be Costing
Play CFT member role for New Product and ensure Packaging Development milestone achievement.
Creating BOM of packaging material used against each part
Interact with customers to improve customer experience by Innovative packaging solutions.
Generate Ideas and Improve Process for Lower Packaging Cost & more robust package system.
Work Digitization of Process to improve efficiency and effectivity.
Troubleshoot technical packaging problems as they arise in internal processes and at Customer end
Packaging Material Inventory Controls and Inventory Management.
SOP writing and Deployment for Packing of Parts at Suppliers, WHs, Mfg. Plants.
Knowledge on QMS standards viz. ISO9001:2015, OHSAS, EMS

Education Qualification

General Experience

Post Graduate in Packaging Technology, 
BE Mechanical/ Automobile with Packaging Development, Procurement exposure.

Min. 7 Years

Critical Experience

Systems/ SAP knowledge: 
SAP MM Module, SAP WM, SAP EWM
Skill Set:
Functional Competency - 
Understanding of Corrugated Box Mfg. Process, Packaging Materials knowledge, Packaging Development process, QMS, 7 QC tools, Six Sigma methodology
Leadership Competency- 
Good Team player, Influencing skill and Communications with CFT members.
As per Mahindra Leadership competency framework..
Communication Skills –
Good communicator, Coaching ability for spreading Packaging Dos & Donts
Additional Knowledge:
•    Understanding of TQM concepts and implementation of DWM and Standardisation
