Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Job Purpose:
As the Lead Technology Infrastructure professional at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering comprehensive network infrastructure strategies that support the organisation’s evolving business needs. Your leadership will ensure the scalable, secure, and resilient performance of technology infrastructure across all platforms including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement forward-thinking network infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Advanced Network Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage cutting-edge network solutions such as SD-WAN, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and Zero Trust architectures, ensuring seamless integration across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms.
- AI-Driven Networking & Automation: Lead the integration of AI and machine learning technologies into network operations to enhance real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection. Cultivate a culture of innovation by mentoring teams on AI adoption and automation best practices.
- Security & Compliance Leadership: Champion network security initiatives that comply with global and regional data protection standards including DPDP, GDPR, and ISO 27001. Oversee incident response frameworks and implement identity-driven access controls to safeguard infrastructure integrity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to align infrastructure capabilities with organisational needs, ensuring robust support for manufacturing networks and broader business units.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous evaluation and enhancement of network technologies, policies, and procedures to maintain best-in-class infrastructure performance and security.
- Team Leadership & Development: Motivate and develop a high-performing team of network engineers and infrastructure specialists, fostering an environment of professional growth and technical excellence.
Educational Qualifications & Professional Expertise:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field is required, with advanced degrees such as a Master’s or MBA being highly desirable.
- A proven track record of 15+ years in the technology infrastructure domain with a focus on network engineering, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within manufacturing or industrial networks.
- Demonstrable expertise in enterprise networking technologies and comprehensive understanding of network security principles tailored for manufacturing environments.
- Technical proficiency with modern communication and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom to enhance team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of industrial communication protocols like SCADA and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) will be considered a significant advantage.
Preferred Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach complex technical challenges methodically and innovatively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate infrastructure strategies and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Hands-on experience with emerging network technologies, cybersecurity tools, and automation platforms, including AI integration within network management.
