Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Develop & optimize advanced vehicle simulation models for complete vehicle.
• Perform vehicle level simulation to meet FE, drivability & performance targets.

• Formulate simulation methodology based on physical description of the problem for FE & performance.
• Correlate vehicle level test results with simulation, identify gaps & suggest model improvement or corrections to close the gap.
• Prepare detailed reports with adequate post-processing, explanations and participate in reviews with vehicle team, aggregates and planning in FI (Functional Image) target setting for performance feel & drivability.
• Coordinating across functions for model development and integration.
• Planning detailed benchmarking of competitor vehicles and analyze real world usage patterns with regards to FE & performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in simulation methodologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency and reliability.
• Stay updated with latest advancements in simulation techniques and industry trends.
• Participation in field visits to understand RWUP requirements and vehicle testing to establish correlation with simulation results.
• Fuel Economy regulation study and simulation proposal preparation.

Experience

Experience: 10-12 years.

• 8+ years of experience in 1D System modelling of vehicle / powertrain / thermal system of conventional / electric / hybrid vehicle.
• 5+ years of experience in FE / range estimation of conventional / hybrid / electric vehicle

Qualifications

B.E / B. Tech 

General Requirements

• Good understanding of vehicle & powertrain architecture, subsystems and vehicle energy audit.
• High degree of proficiency in 0/1D tools like GT Suite / AVL cruise / Ricardo Ignite / Amesim / Simulink or equivalent.
• Ability to strategize, develop and integrate components with complex system architecture in simulation models.
• Leadership & collaboration skills with a passion for developing team and driving continuous improvement in simulation capabilities.
• Good knowledge of data analysis fundamentals & basic proficiency in python, MATLAB will be advantageous.
• Experience in commercial vehicle industry will be advantageous.
• Agile thinking with ability t understand broader context, identify objectives, set priorities and support teams in overcoming challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging individuals and groups at various levels within and outside the organization
